Marla Gutierrez is the proud Director of Human Resources at St. Lucie Public Schools in the heart of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Marla has served St. Lucie Public Schools for over 15 years, starting as the Title 1 Program Specialist and then Human Resource Compliance Specialist before her current role. Marla's passion for simplifying processes and creating sustainable systems is key to her day-to-day, but also to her voice on the Substitute Management Advisory Council. Heavily involved her district's substitute programs, she has had the pleasure of implementing creative pay structures, virtual onboarding, and seamless recruitment for substitutes within SLPS.
